My wife, Rebecca, and I were having a discussion the other day about the debit crisis that our country is in right now and it spurred up the following thought. I believe that because of the number of abortions, about 54 million reported abotions, that have been performed since 1973 when Roe v Wade was passed legallizing abortion, there is now an unsurmountable spread between the numbers of people paying into the tax system, medicare, and social security and those that are recieveing and those that will be recieveing shortly. I told her that I believe that if you were take the number of babies that have been aborted, subtract the number of deaths in that group as well as the number of those that would not be paying any taxes (according to the IRS records) and the ones not yet old enough to pay taxes, you would have approximately 20 million more tax payers pay their share of taxes and putting monies into the Social Security and Medicare Programs as well as into the IRS. Why do I believe this? Well, it is simple math. If you take the 20 million that would be paying taxes (like social security, medicare, and income tax) and multiply that with those 20 million people then you would come up with about 4 trillion dollars a year. That is assuming that each of these persons averages paying $200 per person per year. Now the average person that pays taxes pays a lot more than $200 in taxes per year. The national defecit for last year was $4 trillion. We would have little problems with the national defecit if 20 millions more tax payers were paying "their fair share." After Rebecca and I were finished talking she said, "You need to post that. There have to be others that have thought about it like that but I have never heard anyone brave enough to state it like that." So here it is.
