I see grace much like the manna that God gave the children of Israel as they were traveling in the wilderness. They had rebelled against God by not taking possession of the Land of Promise, so God had them wander around for 40 years. A trip that should have only taken them a few weeks wound up taking them 40 years (all but a handfull died doing so). As they are wandering, the Lord provided for them manna to eat. All they had to do was go out in the morning, gather what they needed for the day, and then eat it throughout the day. There was only on stipulation that the Lord placed on the manna. They could only gather what they needed to eat for that day, the only exception was the day before the Sabbath. They could gather enough for two days, so they would have it and be able to rest on the Lord's Day. Any manna that they gather and was not eat would rot. They could not store it in a container or barn for a later day. They could share it with those around them, but it was still only good for that particular day!
I see grace much like this, God gives us grace each and every day. He has it there for the taking!! As much as we need! Also, there is always more than we need and there is always some to share with those around us. As a matter of fact, by giving it away to someone else, it does not deminish what we ourselves have! So, we can only get enough for the day and there is much more there than we can ever use, but unless we use it today, it will rot and be gone. So, as a Chirtians our desire should not be to withhold grace to anyone else! Our goal should actually be the exact opposite. We should seek out those around us and see how many people we can come in contact with and give them as much manna as they need for today! And then tomorrow, let's do the same. And the next, and the next, an so on! Let's seek someone everyday that we can show the grace of God to and watch how it will change their life! And in return let's see how much it will change your life as well!
God bless,
