I have always loved winter and still do to some degree (pun intended) but I was sitting in my office and thought there are many people that would do anything to have seen another season, another Christmas!! There family would have given anything for them to be here to open one more present! Or make one more pie!! Or eat one more meal together!! Some times our focus becomes so shortsided that we don't see the blessing in the here and now that God has given us!! If you knew this was the last winter you would ever see would it change your perspective on the cold, the rain, or the snow? Or  if you knew that this would be the last Christmas you would ever spend with your loved ones would it change this Christmas for you and for them? If you knew that this coming Christmas meal would be the last time you would gathered around the table and eat together do you thing that the food would taste a little different and the conversation would be a little more about the blessings that you have been given rather than on the stuff that usually happens?

My whole point is this, "You and I are not promised another year, another, holiday, another, month, or even another day!" The Bible is clear that our life is here one momnet and then gone the next. Understand, you and I might have another 40 or 50 years but we might not! So let's make the most of this time of the year, even if the cold whether is not your preferance, or the Christmas meal is burned, or the gifts are not quit what you wanted!! Let's gather around the table to celebrate life together and lets be thankful that all the Lord has blessed us with. You see, because God has given us the greatest gift of all times by sending His son Jesus Christ on the first Christmas morning to be born of a virgin. So that you and I can have forgiveness of sin and a home prepared for us in His eternal kingdom! Celebrate that God has blessed you with one more Christmas and one more year.

Do you know  where you would spend eternity if you were to die today? If not, I want to take this opportunity to tell you that Jesus was born, lived a perfect life, was falsely accused, nailed to a cross, died there, was buried in a tomb, and on the third day rose from that grave to grant you forgiveness of your sins and a home with Him in heaven. If you have never accepted His free gift of forgiveness and eternity with him would you do so today? It is as simple as saying and meaning this pray, "God, I know I am a sinner. I know that I have done things that you did not want me to do. I know Jesus came, was born, died, and rose from the grave for my sins. I want to ask you to forgive me of my sins; come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen!"

If you just said that prayer tand meant it in your heart hen I want to encourage you to send me a message or comment on this blog so I can rejoice with you. Also, the next step is finding you a good, bible-believing church you can attend and grow in your new relaionship with the Lord. If you are near Timpson, Tx then we would love to have you come and see us in person at First Baptist Church where I pastor. If not, then let me know and I will help you find a church near where you are (or if you are not near a church then God may be leading you to start one where you are). God bless you and may the Lord lead you in your new found faith. And may you rejoice in the Lord this Christmas!

If you are a believer then I would ask that you share this message because there is a friend of yours on Facebook or other social media sites that needs to here this message. Let's tell everyone that we can about what God has done for them through Jesus Christ this Christmas!! God bless you!!

In Christ,
Bro. W. Dee Daniel
