How can a Christian Vote for a Democrat? Part 2

This is the second post that I will write about this issue. In this post I will discuss the support of homosexual marriage in the deomocratic platform and the curret democrat we have as president. The Democrat platform is a platform that says that they wll promote and push for the legalization of homosexual marriage throughout the United States. This stands in direct opposition to the Word of God. God in his Word says in Romans 1:26-27, For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of  their error which was due." There are other Old Testament verses that talk about it being an abomination, etc. So how in the world can a person that says that they are a follower of Christ vote for a party that openly says that they are going to promote homosexual marriage and stive for its legalization in all 50 States? I have heard some tell me, "Well, not all democrats believe in this." If this is true, I wonder about that, then how can a candidate be a part of a party that goes against what should be a person's core beliefs as a believer in Jesus Christ. Or others have said, "I look at the rest of their good qualities and vote for them because of those." By saying this you are saying that you will overlook the greater issues of your beliefs, by minimizing them and overemphasis the smaller aspects of your faith. How does that even make since?! I just don't see how someone divorces their personal faith from the politics that are around them and the politicians that are leading our country! This should be a issue that is not settled  because of our views but because of what the Bible says about it. As believers we must get back to a point where the Bible is our guiding light and not personal preferences. One last statement that has been spoken to me about this issue. Even the president used this similar idea when advocating this issue. The idea is we are to "love everyone and we are to do unto others as we would have them do unto us." I will state that the Bible is clear that we are to love everyone, but that does not mean we are condone or promote others WRONG and sinful actions. To love them means that we are to show them that in their current condition that they are lost and headed for a devil's hell and that Jesus came and shed his blood on the cross of Calvary for their sins, of which homosexuality is. To love someone never had the idea that we were to accept their sinful lifestyle or even supporting it by giving it a legal status but it was to point them to the cross.

Again, as I stated in my last blog, if you can show me where I should believe differently becasue of what the Bible says then I would love for you to show me.
