This a quote that I came across this morning, "It is every man's obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it, Albert Einstein." First, let me state that I do not believe that this statement was made toward Believers but rather for society in general. But from a Christian perspective the question that comes to mind is this, "Should Believers only put back into the world what he/she has received or should they put back more?" The Lord states that if a man wants your shirt then you are to give him your shirt and your coat. Also, He says that if a man or women wants you to walk with for one mile then we are to walk with them two miles. SO, what is the Lord trying to tell us in this two passages? This does not mean that as believer we are to be run over or trodden under foot but it does mean that we show the Lord to others by our action and that might be to give unto those around us in greater ways than what we have received. As Believers the Lord has blessed us so much greater than the world; therfore, we should make sure that the world around us know this. One way we can do this is my being a blessing to others and by doing so we give back more than we could ever receive. One way to give to others is by sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Chirst with them. The greatest blessing you and I have as believers is that we have a relaionship with The Lord of the Universe through the sacrifical blood of Jesus Christ. If, for no other reason, that should be enough for us to live a life and to give far above this world so that we might lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ for themselves. Tell me what you think. God bless!!
