The Turning of a Nation!! Election Day 2016

Today is the day when all of the hoopla ends and our nation will receive her just reward, whichever candidate it is. How is it that we as a nation has come so far that an out right criminal and a egotistical maniac are the two candidates that we have to choose from? The answer is simple, they are direct products and mirrors of our society as a whole. We live in a culture that has no respect for the rule of law, not to even mention God's Law. We are a culture that is so absorbed with ourselves and what we want that we have created a political culture where the Law of the Land is seen as a suggestion rather than an absolute and the idea in most people's minds is, "What benefit will I personally receive by voting one way or the other!"

Philippians 3:18-19 talks about this very thing, "I have told you this many times before, and now I repeat it with tears: there are many whose lives make them enemies of Christ's death on the cross. They are going to end up in hell, because their god is their bodily desires. They are proud of what they should be ashamed of, and they think only of things that belong to this world. "

We have a culture and society where it is not moral law or Biblical Law or even ceremonial law that is governing us as a people, as nation, or even as individual believers but we are governed by are desires for what fills our bellies and makes us feel good. We must understand that what does down the mouth sweet doesn't always remain that way!! Today could be a turning point in our nation if the majority decides to vote in such a way that it brings us back to place of making the hard choice to self-regulate and return to some semblance of being a nation of laws or will we choose to continue down the path that we have running full force? You see, today is really not a choice between to candidates it is a choice between two ideologies. One candidate wants to take the nation future in the direction that it is already heading. More government regulation not only in business but in individual lives. More liberal ideas of homosexual rights, illegal immigrant rights, and more freebies to those that are waiting in the line to "suck on the teat" is the cry fro the democrats while taking away rights like having and bearing arms, the sanctity of the human baby in the womb, and the rights of the Christian to express the faith. The other party wants to bring back a sense of nationalism and patriotism while affording the rights to every law-abiding citizen the freedoms to bear arms, live within a set of laws and share their faith openly, while also restricting the killing of the baby in the mother, enforcing the laws that are in place about immigration and by also not giving a select section of society that practices a lifestyle that is abnormal to the physical makeup of the body "special" right and privileges. As you can see the two candidates as different as black and white or male and female. The two candidates could not be further apart when it comes to policies, issues, and their background either. One is a career politician that has made a fortune off of the back of the American governmental system while the other has made a fortune within the system that is already in place.

We have a choice today and it seems to me that there really is not a choice, but who am I? I am only one voice, I am only one vote but I believe that I express a feeling and concern that many have about this day. Today is a turn point!! The only question is, "Which direction will it turn?" God bless you and God bless the United States of America!!
