I sit in my office this morning praying for myself, my family, the church I pastor, our town, our state, and the nation. My mind began to wander into questions of all that is going on in our society. We are into this political cycle full swing and last night the last Presidential debate took place. I watched much of it but could not stomach all of it. It seemed the longer I watched it the angrier and upset I became, so eventually I turned it off and went to bed. This morning, as I was contemplating what I heard last night one area of the discussion kept coming to mind. The Democratic nominee, Hilary Clinton, made a comment about guns that went something similar to this, "I am doing all we can to save just a few of the kids that are killed by guns each year." Then she went on to say that she was for Roe v. Wade and the women's "right" to choose. I went and done a little research to see what the numbers show and this is what I discovered. In the United States there are (8), yes eight mostly accidental deaths of children by guns each day. While we would never want one to be hurt and die that was a smaller number than I expected. Then I researched to see how many abortions take place each day and there are right at 3,000, that's right as well, three-thousand intentional abortions every day. How is it that a person, let alone a Presidential candidate, can say that they are willing to do whatever it takes to save a child from gun violence but she is willing to support, advocate, and fund abortion in the US, as well around the world. It seems to me, if a person was concerned about the well-being of children then the greater avenue to protect the life of a child from harm and MURDER would be in the womb. Not only that, but if someone actually understood the procedure for "partial birth" abortion then they would or should be appalled and disgusted. Partial birth abortion means just that, the partial birth of a child to then abort or KILL an innocent and defenseless baby. This procedure turns a baby in the womb so that he/she is "breach" and then the baby is delivered, all except the head (this is why the procedure is called "Partial Birth" because the baby is partial birthed). Then while the head is still in the cervix, a vacuum type probe is inserted into the base of the skull of the baby and the brain is sucked out; killing the baby. Once this happens and the baby is dead, then the delivery is finished. This abortion can take place up all the way until just a couple hours before the baby would be naturally born. This is the procedure that almost every single Democrat voted to allow to continue and it is the procedure that Hilary Clinton defended last night during the debate. If this does not make you sick, then there is no way you can say that you want to defend the taking of innocent life!! How in the world can a Christian vote for the continuation of this type of killing? I know some will say it is the "right" of a woman to choose. But how is it the right of a women to choose to KILL a child that could otherwise live if it were delivered my normal means. How is it a woman’s right to choose to kill that baby when if she waited for a few hours and the baby is born and she done the same thing it would be murder? If you chose to vote in this way for a party and candidate that chooses the killing of the innocent, I would love for you to explain how you can justify it. Also, if you are a Believer then let me ask you how you can justify voting this way and still align yourself with God's Word? You and have a choice and the choice is do I vote for a party that chooses to kill the innocent or a party that chooses to defend the innocent. I would love for your "comment", "share", and/or "like" of my blog! God bless you and God bless the United States of America as we have only two more weeks until the elections!

What a cruel & heartless act. How can anyone do this especially if a Christian, and live with a clear conscious. For this and many other reasons, I wouldn't even consider voting for Hillary Clinton.

I recently received my free copy of the "DECISION MAGAZINE" published by Franklin Graham and he said, "Many decisions are made at the president's desk, but the major political party to which he or she belongs wields significant power over which domestic and international policies are advanced and what becomes law." It is detrimental that we elect a president that adheres to Christian beliefs and principles. Included in Rev. Graham's magazine he addresses all of these issues referenced in the Democratic and Republican Party Platform. The issues of concern affect the majority of the American citizens one way or another. The appointment of the Supreme Court Justices, Sanctity of Human Life, Religious Freedom, Marriage, Federal Judges, National Defense, Terrorism, Human Rights, Immigration, Internet Safety and Decency, Addressing Poverty, Law and Order, and Israel and Jerusalem. All of these topics are so important. I have been involved in lots of elections but not one of them have I found the liberal party to support the Christian beliefs like the conservative party does. I am appreciative that you have taken the time to pose this question to your readers and to your flock, and I am responding in support of this article. It is simple. Just get your Bible and find out how God felt about life, protection, marriage, and religious freedom. Let the Bible help you and the Holy Spirit guide you in the decision making process and I think our Conservative Leadership will be elected on Nov. 8, 2016, if you follow this method. I have already made my choice, voted my absentee ballot, and I sincerely hope that Donald Trump is elected as our next President of the United States of America.
